Working days calculator
A working days calculator counts Monday through Friday between two dates and subtracts observed US federal holidays. That is the same rule as Excel NETWORKDAYS. Today is included when it is a weekday and not a federal holiday. State holidays are not removed unless you add extra closed dates.
How many working days between two dates
Working days calculator FAQ
Does this match Excel?
The count matches NETWORKDAYS: inclusive of both ends, Monday–Friday, minus observed US federal holidays in the range. Add workdays matches WORKDAY. Extra closed dates you type are treated like holidays for this page only.
Are state holidays excluded?
No. Only the 11 federal holidays, on the date they are observed, unless you add extra closed dates yourself.
How is this different from calendar days?
Weekends and listed federal holidays are removed. Weekdays alone are shown in the breakdown for comparison. For calendar days as the main answer, use days between dates.
Can I add workdays instead of counting a range?
Yes. Switch to Add workdays. Ten US workdays from today is in the sidebar as a second default. Save, CSV, and print need scripting; today through year end stays in the HTML.
